But Mark, a Sunderland University student, is partially sighted, and has impressed so much for the South Tyneside Visually Impaired Football Club, that he has come to the attention of the national squad.
In fact, given some of the displays we have seen in the Premiership this season, Mark could probably go on to a bigger stage.
