Dublin here we come!

VISUALLY-impaired footballers are a step closer to a dream trip to Dublin thanks to South Shields Round Table.

Round Table donated £100 to the team to help pay for the cost of the trip.

Tablers also stumped up cash for two awards made to the visually impaired footballers, The team did particularly well in a recent national championship held at Temple Park Leisure Centre in South Shields, where they were the runners-up in the seven-a-side competition.

To mark the team's achievement, Tablers presented the team's best player of the championship weekend. and the most improved player of the weekend, cheques for £50 each.

Goalkeeper Mark Edwards was voted best player, and David Seymour was chosen as most improved player.

The cheques were handed over by South Shields Round Table Chairman Graham Colls.
